Official Contest Rules
NOTE: Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream are slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more.
This means that when WSNY contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 10 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.
1. Each weekday morning between 5:00AM and 9:30AM, WSNY’s morning show, “It’s Sunny in the Morning with Dino & Shawn” may conduct on-air contesting and award prizes to WSNY listeners. Individual prize packages vary in quantity and value when awarded.
2. Most daily morning contests require listeners to call the WSNY request lines at (614) 459-WSNY, 459-9769. Please refer to Official Contest Rules available at the WSNY studios for contests requiring entry in another manner. WSNY cannot be responsible for any claimed failure or inability to participate, win or claim any prizes based upon allegations of telephone or transportation difficulties.
3. Contests are open to all residents in the WSNY listening area except employees and their families of Franklin Communications, Inc., Saga Communications and any agency involved in the production or distribution of materials for any giveaway. Contest void where prohibited by law. WSNY reserves the right to disqualify any winner if contest rules have been violated. In addition, all winners of prizes valued $600.00 or more must sign a release a.) permitting reasonable use of name, voice, likeness, and biographical information and b.) releasing Franklin Communications, Inc., Saga Communications, Inc., their officers, stockholders, board of trustees, directors and employees from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, or death arising directly or indirectly out of award or use of any prize awarded. Winners are responsible for any state, local, or federal taxes incurred on prizes.
4. Odds of winning will be based upon the number of incoming calls to the WSNY studio lines, which cannot be determined at this time.
5. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted for cash or other prizes.
6. The winner of the prize is responsible for claiming the prize at WSNY studios, located at 4401 Carriage Hill Lane, Columbus, Ohio, 43220, during regular business hours. Prize winner must be one-and-the-same upon time of claim. Recipient of any prize will be asked to present proper identification (driver’s license, birth certificate) at time of claim.
7. Prizes will be held for winners up-to ten (10) business days from the time of winning. After that point, the unclaimed prize becomes the property of WSNY, Franklin Communications Inc., Saga Communications, Inc., and contest sponsor. In event that a prize is not available for immediate claim, WSNY will contact the winner when the prize becomes available. WSNY cannot be responsible for any claimed failure or inability to notify contest winner.
8. Neither the winner nor their immediate family members are eligible to participate/win any minor WSNY-FM contest for at least thirty (30) days from the date from winning. The term family shall include spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others. |
