Promotion Director
Rare opening for an experienced, innovative Promotions Director who knows how to maximize promotional and branding opportunities! The right candidate will develop and oversee all promotional and contest initiatives, and assist in the implementation of external marketing events. EOE.

•    Execute all on-air promotions & contests from concept to implementation and follow-up.
•    Work with the Programming Department to ensure the stations’ promotional activity meets its objectives.
•    Work with the Sales Department to generate revenue by creating, designing, and executing sales promotions.
•    Serve as liaison between Programming and Sales departments.
•    Conduct weekly promotion meetings.
•    Maintain and update promotions calendar.
•    Assist in the creation and implementation of station marketing plans.
•    Coordinate and execute on-site events.
•    Hire and supervise part-time summer promotion crew.
•    Supervise full-time promotions assistant.
•    Schedule staff for various station promotions.
•    Use creative awareness for effective banner and vehicle placement at station remotes and appearances.
•    Create fun atmosphere for listeners and clients at station remotes and appearances.
•    Work with morning show to develop promotional ideas.
•    Maximize station visibility at concerts, fairs, trade shows, sporting events, and other public events.
•    Write proposals to secure promotional giveaways and trade agreements.
•    Write sales promotion packages to maximize revenue opportunities.
•    Update the station websites with contest and program information where applicable.
•    Manage inventory of prizes and promotional air time.
•    Write and deliver all media releases for special events.
•    Maintain and improve station community profile and activities.
•    Maintain dedication to excellence in customer service (listeners and clients).
•    Create and improve internal processes and procedures.
•    Responsible for maintenance of station vehicles and marketing tools.
•    Assist in establishing and working within annual promotional budget.
•    Attend sales, programming and promotions meetings as required.
•    Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, managers, clients and service providers with a positive and cheerful attitude.
•    Other duties and specific projects as assigned by Program Director and General Manager.
•    May be required to work extended hours occasionally to oversee promotions.
•    Minimum of 3 years experience in radio promotions.
•    Highly detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
•    Ability to think creatively, conceptualize ideas and find opportunities as required.
•    Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
•    Strong interpersonal and communications skills with excellent writing and comprehension skills.
•    Valid state-issued driver’s license with excellent driving record required.
•    Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Familiarity with and knowledge of HTML language and other web tools.
•    Technical knowledge (broadcast lines, live broadcasts) an asset.
